Ph.D. and Postdoctoral Opportunities - Spring/Fall 2026

I am currently seeking highly motivated and qualified Ph.D. students and Postdoctoral researchers to join my lab starting Spring 2026 or Fall 2026. These positions are fully funded and ideal for individuals passionate about cutting-edge energy research.

Research Focus:

We are driving innovation in transportation electrification through the development of next-generation battery management system, including (but not limited to):

• Battery state estimation and health diagnostics using machine learning.
• Cloud-managed and adaptive battery management systems.
• Aging modelling, thermal management, and new battery chemistries.

Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. degree in electrical engineering, material engineering, or related fields.
• For Postdoctoral applicants: Ph.D. in a relevant discipline by the time of joining.
• Strong background in one or more of the following: battery systems, machine learning, embedded systems, optimization, thermal/electrochemical modeling.
• Experience with tools such as Python, MATLAB, Simulink, and micro-controllers.
• Demonstrated publication record, research potential, and motivation for innovative research.
